Class Descriptions
M/BODY is a barre fitness program meticulously designed by Marnie Alton based on her 16 years of experience in dance and fitness. Every workout is strategically created to be fun, challenging, effective and musically driven no matter the length, intensity or focus. We believe that working out is a chance to celebrate our body’s ability to move and to SCULPT, SWEAT & STRETCH both our body and mind. Instruction includes customizations that make almost every class adaptable to any space or fitness level. Focus is placed on form and mindfulness which accelerates results and creates deep strength from the inside out. We work barefoot to improve alignment through your entire kinetic chain and light therapy is used to increase connection. All classes are designed to compliment one another and we encourage you to intuitively chose based on your schedule and what your body needs on a given day.
Signature 60
Where it all started. Our signature 60 min experience is both energizing and meditative. This fun, full body class brings together a balance of high intensity dance cardio, low impact targeted muscle sculpting techniques and deep dynamic stretching to create the most well rounded workout you’ll ever have. Simple props including a stable surface, weights and our M/OVEMENT Ball are optional (customizations are shown throughout). This class packs everything your body and soul needs into one sweaty hour.
Sculpt
A full body workout that uses longer intervals of small, isometric barre movements to strengthen your body and mind. Focus is form, posture and grace. Short cardio intervals and deep stretch series are incorporated to round out the experience. Minimal impact for maximum results.
Stretch
These classes will help you gain flexibility and relieve tension. Inspired by traditional dance technique, our stretch videos are a great way to open up and let go.
Sweat
Get ready to sweat! These classes are similar to our Sculpt, just with a slightly quicker flow, more transitions and longer cardiovascular bursts. High intensity targeted sculpt and dynamic stretching are seemlessly integrated throughout to keep the workout safe and balanced.
Connect
Restorative and healing, these classes allow your body and mind to experience the power of stillness. Videos include meditations and informative Q & A’s to deepen your connection to self and understanding of your body.
